About Us
We are excited to have you visit us here, just as we are to have you actually come to our physical store in Copperhill, Tennessee. We are now a "destination" for many folks throughout the Southeast who look forward to seeing what's new in our store since they last visited.
We are so proud to be able to offer the best quality items at reasonable prices. Although our selection of goods is what we like and is eclectic in nature, it seems to also appeal to many others.
Rip and I have been artists for over twenty years making hand-hewn wooden bowls. Rip is responsible for renewing interest in this age-old craft and helping people of today to appreciate this artistry. We have written the only two books on how to do this craft and have taught about 200 people in workshops just how to accomplish this feat. We are blessed to have our work in the Smithsonian Institution and several White House Administrations, as well as doing custom work for the National Park Service. More importantly, many, many "just regular folks" have purchased and love our Handhewn Wooden Bowls.
As you can see from our pictures, Rip IS Santa. For fifteen years in Northern Virginia he has been "The Santa" to visit and get pictures with. Many thousands of families consider him a most important part of their lives. For the past few years, Rip will be in OUR STORE being Santa for our visitors. We are excited about this! Being married to Santa is not an easy job but it is most wonderful. I have been witness to countless special moments and special children (young and old) who have touched our hearts. Santa, you see, is special to everyone.
We're not your usual store -- we're not your usual website. Since we know where all of our store items come from and who made them, we have "tour guides" to tell our customers all about them. Take the time to really look at what we have. We are so pleased to be able to offer items made by artist friends of ours as well as high-quality commercial lines. We hope you will like what you see as much as we like putting things together for you. Come in and browse awhile; there just could be something that you "just can't live without."
