This is our own alter-ego website, which will show you how we have been earning our living for the past twenty-plus years. This wonderful craft is still very much a part of our lives, as Rip continues to create hand-hewn bowls right here in his studio in one corner of our Christmas is Here! location. Our pace has just slowed down a little, since the store takes more and more of our time and attention. We continue to do a minimum number of shows (two to three per year) to keep our hand in, as well as to keep in touch with the good people who are craftsmen friends and, of course, customer friends. 
 
Because we have had the opportunity to be part of so many top-notch shows over the years, we have also been lucky enough to meet and know some of the most talented artists in the country today. We carry a variety of work by our artist friends at our Christmas is Here! store and are proud to be able to share it with our new customers. Some of it is shown here on our website, and some is found only at our store location.   

Please browse both of our websites; we are very proud of what we make and what we carry in our store. Something is bound to catch your eye and imagination.

The White House Bed and Breakfast is located in Ducktown, Tennessee, just four miles from Copperhill. Many of our guests and students have stayed at this historic B&B, which we highly recommend.

The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway runs a tourist train from Blue Ridge, Georgia to Copperhill at least four days a week, and daily in July and October. The train follows the Toccoa River. This is a delightful trip and great way to enjoy the scenic beauty of our area. (The train also stops in Copperhill for more than an hour, so you can stroll down the street and shop with us at Christmas is Here! to your heart's content.)

The Ocoee Whitewater Center is a focal point for our area; it was built to host the whitewater events for the 1996 Olympic Games. This is a great spot to wander along the banks of the Ocoee River, watch the kayakers and enjoy the beauties of the natural landscaping. There are also several walking trails that are timed, to give you some idea as to how long that particular trek is.

Every Thursday night, from late spring to early fall, some of the area's most talented acoustical musicians gather at Ron Henry Horseshoe Bend Park for this informal (very) weekly jam session. Players at all levels are welcome to join in, so bring an instrument, or just a lawn chair. For local schedules and information, click the "McCaysville, GA" link on the home page.
